Are you a travel planning service or a travel agent?
We are a travel planning service. Our job is to research thoroughly, recommend honestly, and hand you a plan you can trust — one built around your preferences, not ours. We are completely independent: no commissions, no partnerships that influence what we suggest. Our only commitment is to the quality of your trip.
Why choose your service?
Because good travel planning takes time and knowledge that most people don't have spare. We bring both. We research properly, we consider what actually matters for your specific trip, and we present our recommendations with the reasoning behind them — so you feel informed, not just handed a list. We're independent, which means we recommend what's right for you, not what earns us a fee.
How will the process work?
For our Ascend, Retreat, Journey, and Experience services: You provide your travel details in a short form— dates, preferences, budget, and anything specific that matters to you. Once purchased, we take it from there. For services that include flights, we monitor fares over several days before finalizing, so our pricing recommendations are accurate and current. You'll receive a carefully prepared PDF with our recommendations and the thinking behind each one. You book at your own pace, on your own terms.
For Privé, our signature service: you'll complete your purchase and schedule a personal consultation call. We use that conversation to understand your trip in real depth — not just logistics, but what you're hoping to feel and experience. From there we build your itinerary, staying in contact throughout to make sure every selection is right. Delivery is a beautifully prepared PDF, yours to act on when you're ready.
Do I need to book my travel right away after receiving recommendations?
No. Your recommendations are yours to act on at your own pace. We do suggest keeping in mind that fares and availability move — so the sooner you book once you've decided, the better your chances of securing exactly what we've recommended.
Why do you not book services?
Because we believe you should stay in full control of your own travel arrangements. When you book directly, you keep access to your loyalty programs, your direct relationship with providers, and your own payment protections. There are no hidden layers between you and your reservation. Our role is to do the thinking and the research — the booking is yours, and that's by design.
What makes your approach different from traditional travel agencies?
Traditional agents typically earn commissions from hotels, airlines, and tour operators — which means their recommendations are influenced by who pays them, whether they intend it or not. We don't operate that way. We charge a planning fee, which is the only money we make. That means every recommendation is genuinely independent, shaped only by what's right for your trip.
We also go further than most agents in how we plan. We consider the details that get overlooked: seasonal conditions, connection complexity, neighborhood character, what genuine guests say about a property. The goal isn't just a booked trip — it's a trip worth taking.
What if I want to make changes after receiving my recommendations?
We want you to be genuinely happy with what you receive. If something in your plan doesn't feel right, get in touch and we'll talk it through. For minor clarifications, we'll address them as part of the service. For substantial changes to the brief, we may discuss whether additional planning time is needed — but we'll always be upfront about that before proceeding.
Is this service right for any kind of trip?
Yes. We plan weekend breaks, honeymoons, family holidays, solo adventures, and everything in between. The quality of the planning doesn't depend on the size of the budget — it depends on how well we understand what you're looking for.
